Well, a little bit about myself: I grew up in a very small town of about 2,000 people near Port Washington, WI. After high school I decided to attend college at Uw-Green Bay to get away from my home town. I felt people there were extremely close minded and judgmental in a small town and didn't care for the "gossipy everybody knows everybody" sort of thing but I do miss some aspects of the small town life. While I attended Uw-Green Bay my boyfriend of 5 years went 3.5 hours south of there to Chicago. After finding that I didn't like it very much up there I decided to move to Milwaukee to be closer to the majority of my family, and at the same time my boyfriend had just graduated from his technical school with a 2 year degree as an automotive and diesel technician. We then decided to get a place together. Now my boyfriend and I live in a duplex in a very nice area of West Milwaukee with my two cats. I was hoping to be able to make friends through work or school once I moved down here, but because I switched majors from education to a sonogram technician, it's taking longer to figure out the whole school situation than expected. It's up in the air as of now, but I may not even be starting school until next year, but I wouldn't mind taking a year off to work and focus on friends and saving up money. As far as my work situation, I decided to become a nanny throughout college because it's fairly easy work, and excellent pay but the downside is that I'm not introduced to anyone my age through my job. I feel a bit strange coming on the internet to find friends, but I'm not really sure how to find ones if it's not through work or school besides going to the bars (which is sometimes hard having conversations with people in a loud bar especially after they've had a few drinks haha).
